Scott Feir is an experienced attorney representing a broad spectrum of clients. Scott's representative clients are retail shopping center owners, property management groups, housing authorities, real estate brokers and agents, and construction and design professionals. Where practical dispute resolution efforts fail, Scott is an effective courtroom strategist and advocate. Additionally, Scott regularly advises clients and litigates disputes concerning fiduciary-related matters involving wills, trusts, contested probates, and guardianships, especially when such matters involve real estate disputes, the recovery of misappropriated assets, or the defense of a fiduciary or trust officer.
Is it more important to maximize revenue or minimize risk?
They are interconnected. By prioritizing one over the other you may lose sight of the business objective. I help clients analyze the situation from both cost and risk perspectives in conjunction with business and professional ethics.
What drives you professionally?
Helping people and businesses succeed and meet their goals. I also enjoy the opportunity to be creative - finding a creative solution to a problem that no one else has thought about is very rewarding.
What do you consider your most significant career accomplishment to date and why?
Longevity - still practicing and enjoying what I do after 20 plus years. I like helping clients navigate from problems to successful solutions.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My "away from the office" passions are traveling, hiking, cooking, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I think each has an element of discovery and exploration that I like.
