Scott's practice emphasizes civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution for business and municipal clients. Scott has litigated a broad range of commercial matters in state and federal courts and in mediation and arbitration forums.
A significant portion of Scott's practice is devoted to advising clients on and litigating real estate-related matters, including matters involving landlord-tenant relations, lease and license enforcement, fair housing and access claims, construction defect and lien claims, purchase and sale nondisclosure and misrepresentation, broker commission and standard of care issues, enforcement of restrictive covenants and easements, adverse possession claims, and boundary disputes.
Additionally, Scott regularly advises clients and litigates disputes concerning fiduciary-related matters involving trusts, probate estates, and guardianships, especially when such matters involve the recovery of misappropriated assets.
